DES Selections is a curated editorial program dedicated to photographic storytelling and the development of cohesive visual narratives. It is built around a simple but deliberate premise: that the relationship between images can be as meaningful as the images themselves.
This space invites photographers to move beyond the singular frame and engage with sequencing, rhythm, and visual continuity.
Unlike competitive structures or ranking systems, DES Selections operates as an editorial environment. Each submission is reviewed with attention to intention, narrative clarity, and visual cohesion rather than comparison or hierarchy.
The Format
Photographers are invited to submit a carefully edited series of 3 to 5 images.
This constraint is intentional.
Strong visual stories often emerge not from abundance, but from restraint — from the ability to distill an idea, atmosphere, or narrative into its essential elements.
DES Selections is not concerned with volume. It is concerned with coherence.
Monthly Selection
Each month, one photographic series is selected by the DES editorial team.
From the selected series, three images are featured to highlight narrative structure, sequencing, and visual dialogue.
Quarterly Feature
Selected photographers may be invited for an expanded editorial presentation on the DES website.
These features offer broader narrative context and may include optional mentoring, conversations, and collaborative development toward printed booklets.
Participation remains invitation-only.
