Photography is often experienced through single images.
A moment, a gesture, a fragment — isolated and consumed within the endless flow of visual platforms. Yet photography, as a language, has always possessed a deeper capacity: the ability to construct narratives, to unfold meaning across time, and to create dialogue between images.
With this in mind, we introduce DES Selections.

Extending Your Work Beyond Print: New Press Release Feature
We are thrilled to share an exciting step for our TopBest community. Starting this month, DES_Photomag will begin sending a curated press release to a select list of gallerists, curators, and photography media — highlighting the photographers published in each magazine edition and supported through its release.

DES_Letter #1 — The Color of Authorship
A new editorial space for longer reflections, curated texts, and selected articles from the DES_Photomag archive — written within the context of a small, print-first publication shaped by intention rather than scale. In time, DES_Newsletter will also feature selected guest texts from photographers, editors, and thinkers who resonate with the DES_ ethos.
We begin with The Color of Authorship — a meditation on voice, intention, and the invisible fingerprint behind every photograph.

Each quarter, one photograph becomes the cover of TopBest Magazine.
The process begins with editorial curation: from the monthly selections, three images are chosen by the DES_Photomag team as cover nominees. The final cover, however, is not decided by us alone — it is chosen by the community.
This moment is not a competition. It is a shared gesture of recognition.
